Fried foods for weight loss? Sign me up!
February 7th, 2009 by Missy
So browsing around the internet tonight, I came across this:
“I’m trying to lose 15 pounds by eating healthier food and exercising. The trouble is that I happen to love fried food. I’m thinking of buying a deep fat fryer to cook vegetables, like tempura, for dinner. Is there such a thing as light oil or is fried food going to be too high in calories to be worthwhile?”
I mean, seriously.. who would possibly think “I’d like to lose weight.. time to go buy a deep fryer!”? Yes, adding vegetables into your diet is a great idea when you are trying to lose weight, especially if you aren’t the kind of person who normally consumes vegetables.. but how can you even begin to delude yourself into thinking that deep fried vegetables are diet food?
On a P90X note — tomorrow is our first thirty days completed. We didn’t take a full set of measurements on Day 1, which I am seriously disappointed about. I’ll post our Day 30 measurements, though, so we can at least compare those with Day 60 and 90 and beyond, or whatnot.
