Bretonnia
Well, being the fickle person that I am, I’m all about Bretonnia at the moment. My poor, poor Lizardmen. Guess they’ll just sit around unpainted for a while as I work on the soup du jour.
<— Work in progress Knight of the Realm. My first attempt with non-metallic metals. I’m not particularly happy with it, and the paint on the caparison is much too thick. Hopefully by the time I finish this unit of eight I’ll be a bit more adept. Then my next unit can look good and eventually these guys will get relegated to standby for when I don’t have enough nicely painted models to fill out the list that I’m playing.
If anyone has any suggestions on the non-metallic metal, I’d gladly take them. Or suggestions on getting my paint more even. I haven’t been thinning it (I know, I know, big mistake) and I started thinning it when I did the right side, but I don’t honestly notice much of a difference. The paint still looks.. globby.
Blogging - the bored, Warhammer playing housewife way!

WTB: blogs. Yes, hypocritical, but I ought to be posting more soon.
Also, I’ll likely create that weight tracking website so I can track my (fruitless) ‘progress.’
You know, I have been experimenting with using denatured alcohol to thin out my paints lately. I find that it breaks up the “globs” in older paint pots a little better. Also, it was recommended to me for use in thinning my airbrush paints down. My issue there was that I was thinning paints with water, but they would settle and glob up the gun. They don’t settle with the alcohol as a thinner, that’s for sure. After that I just started using it instead of water to thin paint for brushing as well.
Yeah, I’ve picked up some flow enhancer and drying retarder and found that they really help. Now I just need my stupid new paints ;-;
